Andrew Corish has been working as a Family Lawyer in the Sydney/Canberra regions for 32 years and is among the most experienced and highly qualified Family Lawyers in New South Wales. After completing a double law degree, he began practicing in the family firm Corish & Co. in Hornsby in 1982.
In 1984, Andrew Corish moved to Canberra where he worked in the Family Law department of a large Canberra based firm. In 1994, he was awarded Specialist Accreditation in Family Law by the Law Society of NSW and is one of the few specialist family lawyers in Australia with more than twenty continuous years of service as an accredited specialist. He was also accredited as a Mediator in Family Law and as an Independent Children’s Lawyer (to represent children in complex parenting disputes).
In 1998, Andrew returned to Sydney and became the Family Law Partner in a Manly based firm and established their branch office at North Sydney. He trained and was accredited in Collaborative Resolution of Family Law Disputes in 2011.
In 2014, Andrew re-established the firm of Corish & Co. at North Sydney.
He is involved in many community Family Law organisations as a volunteer, including as the honorary solicitor for the Lone Father’s Association when he was in Canberra and for the Family Law Reform Association in Bankstown, Sydney. He has been a volunteer of Salvos Legal Service and the Kirribilli Neighbourhood Legal Advice Service.
He is married with two adult children and assists the community as a committee member of a number of organisations, including the Church Council of the Uniting Church at Lane Cove, the Uniting Business Network and the Lane Cove Golf Club.
Andrew’s vocation is to assist people to resolve their Family Law issues in the best possible way and to enable them to get on with their lives successfully. He treats his clients with care and compassion . He helps clients to reduce the complexity and stress in their Family Law matters and their lives and to come to effective and successful solutions.
